Is Hackly safe to use?
An AI that applies in your name has to be trustworthy before it is fast. These are the rules Hackly runs by, and how to check them.
The short version. Hackly puts only true facts about you on a CV or a form. It never makes a declaration for you, never answers a phone check in your name, and never sends to a company you protect without your yes. Payments go through Stripe. When you cancel, your data is deleted. You can reach a person at support@hackly.me.
What Hackly never does
- Never invents a fact. No made-up employer, title, grade, skill or date. Every CV and answer comes from your profile and is checked against it before sending. If a job needs something you do not have, Hackly says so.
- Never applies where you are not eligible. A role that needs a visa you do not hold, permanent right to work or a security clearance is skipped, with the reason recorded.
- Never makes a declaration for you. If a form asks you to certify something, for example that the application was written without AI, the box is never ticked by Hackly. You decide, for that one job.
- Never answers an SMS or phone check in your name. Those come to you.
- Never sends to a protected company without your yes. Mark your top employers and every application there waits for you.
- Never counts a click as a submission. An application is recorded as sent only when the employer's confirmation page or email is found.
Your data
- What it is used for. Finding jobs, writing your applications, applying, and telling you what came back. Not advertising, and it is never sold.
- Who else sees it. The employers you apply to; Stripe for payments; Anthropic, whose AI model reads your CV and the job to write the application; and the hosting and email providers that run the service. Full list: privacy.
- Deletion. Cancel and your CV, profile, answers, messages and application records are deleted. You can also ask for deletion at any time without cancelling.
- Passwords. Each employer portal gets its own generated password, kept in a secret store and never written into logs or messages.
- Email. Applications use a dedicated application address, so verification codes and replies reach Hackly without access to your personal inbox.
Money
- $9.90 a month, cancel any time. Payments by Stripe; Hackly never sees your card number.
- Interview fees only for an invitation from a real person, once per job. A disputed fee is reviewed by a person. Details: pricing.
- No result claims without a count and a method: results.
How to check a job application tool, including this one
- Does it say where it applies: Easy Apply only, or the employer's own site?
- Does it say what it does at a login, an email code or a CAPTCHA?
- Do its result numbers have a count, a definition and a date?
- Does it promise never to invent facts, and can it show you what it sent?
- Do you pay for volume, or for results?
- Can you delete your data, and is the refund policy written down?
