How Hackly works
Hackly is an AI job application agent. You tell it what you want; it finds the jobs, writes a tailored CV for each one and applies on the employer's own site. You say yes or no, and go to the interviews.
In one paragraph. Hackly searches job boards and over 1,100 company career sites, keeps only the roles where you have a real chance, writes a CV (resume) for each job from true facts in your profile, and submits the application on the employer's own site: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters or a company's own careers page. It makes the portal account, reads the email verification code from its own inbox, fills every page of the form and records proof of submission. It asks you only what it cannot know. It costs $9.90 a month, plus a fee only when a real person invites you to an interview.
1. You say what you want
Start in the chat at hackly.me/chat or on Telegram. You do not need a CV, a target job title or an account to begin. Tell Hackly what you are looking for in your own words, or send your CV and let it suggest directions from your own experience. It turns that into a search: job titles, level, places, pay floor and right to work. You confirm it with a few taps.
2. It finds the jobs
Hackly reads job sites such as LinkedIn and Indeed, and reads over 1,100 company career sites directly, so it sees roles that never reach the big boards. It reports where it looked. Since September 2026 it has found over 16,000 jobs at more than 5,800 employers, and about 2,000 new jobs a day.
3. It keeps only the jobs worth sending
Every job is checked against hard rules before any writing starts, and a skipped job is recorded with its reason:
- Right to work. In the UK, Hackly checks the employer against the Home Office register of licensed visa sponsors. For US roles it checks whether the employer has recently filed H-1B applications for that kind of role. Roles that demand permanent right to work, or security clearance you cannot get, are skipped.
- Level and fit. The right seniority, a pay floor you set, and a strong match between the job and your record.
- No spray. A tailored application to a well-matched role beats ten generic ones, so Hackly applies only where you have a real chance.
4. It writes each application from true facts only
For every job Hackly writes a new CV and, where asked, a cover letter and answers to the screening questions. It rephrases, reorders and emphasises what is in your profile; it never invents an employer, a title, a grade or a skill. Before anything is sent, every claim is checked against your profile by a separate step, and an application that fails the check is not sent.
5. It applies on the employer's own site
This is where most auto-apply tools stop, and where Hackly keeps going:
- Accounts and sign-in. Workday and many corporate portals want an account per employer. Hackly makes it with a dedicated application email address, keeps one strong password per portal in a secret store, and signs in next time.
- Email codes. The verification code goes to Hackly's own inbox, which it reads, so the application does not stall waiting for you.
- Long forms. Dropdowns, dates, tick boxes, uploads, page after page, the way a person would fill them.
- Proof. An application counts as submitted only when the confirmation page or the confirmation email is found, never because a button was pressed.
6. It asks you only what it cannot know
When a form asks something your profile does not answer, such as a driving licence or a referee, you get one question with tap answers, and Hackly remembers the answer next time. Some things always wait for you:
- Protected companies. Mark your top employers and nothing is sent there without your yes.
- Declarations. If a form asks you to certify something about yourself, for example that you wrote the application without AI, Hackly never ticks it for you. You decide, job by job.
- Phone checks. An SMS or phone verification goes to you; Hackly does not answer one in your name.
7. It tells you the moment it works
Hackly reads the replies. When an employer invites you to a test or an interview you hear first, with a one-page brief on the company and the role, written from the job posting, the invitation and the CV that was sent. Replies also show it where to look next: kinds of role and employer that answer get more of the search.
Three ways to run it
- Guided Apply. You say yes or no to every application.
- Autopilot. Hackly applies on its own, only to the kinds of role you approved.
- Explore. Hackly shows you roles and what they involve, without applying.
Questions
What is an AI job application agent?
Software that does the job search work for you: it finds openings, writes the application and submits it on the employer's site. Hackly is one. It differs from a CV writer, which only writes, and from an autofill extension, which fills forms you open yourself.
Can Hackly apply on Workday?
Yes. It makes the Workday account for that employer, reads the email verification code from its own inbox, fills each step of the form and uploads your CV. The same goes for Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters and company career pages.
Does Hackly only do LinkedIn Easy Apply?
No. Hackly applies on the employer's own site wherever the job is posted. A job found on LinkedIn or Indeed is traced to the employer's own posting when there is one.
Will Hackly make things up on my CV?
No. Every CV is built only from facts in your profile, and every claim is checked against it before sending. If a job needs something your profile does not show, Hackly tells you instead of adding it.
Do I need a CV to start?
No. Tell Hackly about your education, projects and experience. It organises them into a profile, you confirm it, and it writes a CV for each role you choose.
How much does Hackly cost?
$9.90 a month, with no quota on applications. When a real person invites you to an interview, a fee of 0.1% of the job's yearly pay at most employers, or 0.15% to 0.2% at the most competitive ones, once per job.
Can Hackly promise me an interview?
No one honest can. Hackly applies only where you have a real chance and is paid mainly when you get an interview, so its incentive matches yours. If you have no test in 90 days, a specialist reviews your applications by hand.
